This is a contract position with the potential for long term extensions if you are the ideal person for what the business is looking for.
  

The qualities they are looking for are excellent communication skills, motivated with a positive attitude, someone with drive and initiative. This is also a project driven environment so delivery and time management is a must.   

 

You will be joining a team who have a mixture of both Developers and DBA's so exposure to development, design and support for Oracle applications experience will be of benefit.
Your KEY RESPONSIBILITY will be ORACLE REPORTS preferably in Oracle Reports 6i and 10g.
In addition expertise of PL/ SQL, tracking report performance, query / report tuning, maintenance, productions support and enhancements.  

 
Skills you will require to have...... 
 
- Extensive experience with Oracle Reports (6i and 10g) 
- Must have PL/SQL experience  
- Proficient with query and report tuning
- Experience in design and development of database applications 
- Previous exposure to DBA tasks
- Ability to document database and report changes 
- Data Warehouse, BI and ETL knowledge and exposure is advantageous
- Experience working with UNIX environment
