RF TECHNICIAN.
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced RF Technician to join a leading global wireless communications company. A technician is needed for their Melbourne Head Office to perform a variety of product repairs and system support.
This is a technical position whereby you will be required to undertake equipment repairs and support of systems / products for all RF and Optical Repeater products. Additionally you will provide on site assistance in the testing & commissioning of installed systems. You will also be responsible for recording testing procedures and providing telephone support to customers.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, most work will be undertaken in the workshop, however at times you will be required in the field.
The ideal candidate will have the following;
- Minimum of an Advanced Diploma in Communication or Electronics with coursework in RF Theory.
- Several years hands on experience in fault finding & repair techniques of radio transceivers & amplifiers, preferably in the Land Mobile or Mobile Network arenas.
- Sound knowledge in RF principals and an understanding of Mobile Networks GSM and WCDMA technologies.
- IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft office Applications.
- Strong practical skills & problem solving ability.
