This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your problem solving skills and work on challenging projects in the cellular telecommunications and wireless networking space.
Based in Melbourne, the client is currently seeking an embedded C/C++ Software Engineer with an embedded software engineering background to join its team. Utlising the latest in WiFi and 3G cellular protocols, their niche wireless networking products are currently integrated with a number of mission critical applications including air traffic control towers, rolling stock, mobile base stations, remote power grids, and marine enivronments.
Technical requirements for this role include:
- Proven ability to program on 32-bit microprocessor architectures (Eg. PowerPC, ARM, or MIPS)
- Bootloader, device driver development, modifications of protocol stacks
- Linux kernel space or embedded Linux programming
- Network programming and prior experience with network protocols (eg. TCP/IP, UDP, SSL)
- 5+ years commercial experience in an embedded role
To be successful for this embedded software engineering role, you will need to be a self-starter and be able to work effectively in a small team.
