Our client is looking for an experienced and professional Workforce Planner to join their growing team. Situated at Melbourne Airport, you will be working for the largest flight catering company in the southern hemisphere.
Reporting to the Labour Planning Analyst, and working alongside a cohesive Resource team, the Workforce Planner is responsible for gathering, analysing and planning resource requirements for operational areas, ensuring a sustainable work flow and meeting financial targets.
Responsibilities include;
* Real time workforce management of 500 staff (permanent and casual)
* Workforce planning and scheduling - developing and producing accurate rosters in an timely manner against planned workload
* Forecasting - effective forecast of workload demands and predicting operational demands and impacts
* Internal Stakeholder Management - develop relationships with internal stakeholders in order to gather information on scenarios that will effect future rosters
* Devising strategies for continuous improvement - analysing planned, actual and historical workload and staff utilisation and highlighting areas of improvement
* Safety compliance - reporting and communicating any workplace incidents and complying with all OH&S responsibilities according to organisational policy
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate;
* Relevant experience in a similar role
* Strong MS Access and Excel skills
* The ability to demonstrate initiative in a changing environment
* Strong analytical skills, including statistical and trend analysis
* Excellent communication skills & the ability to build rapport
