PRIMARY CARE MANAGER

Wimmera Health Care Group is located in Horsham in rural Victoria. It is the acute referral hospital for the Wimmera region, providing a wide range of specialist services. An opportunity exists for an experienced health care professional to join the organisation as the Primary Care Manager.

The function of this role is to provide strategic and professional leadership to the delivery of a range of community health and primary care services across the organisation including the planning and coordination of health promotion initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Primary Care Manager will oversee the operational, fi nancial, quality and human resource management of these areas.

The successful applicant will need:

• Relevant qualifi cations in nursing, allied health or a related discipline;

• Post -graduate qualifi cations (or working towards) in management;

• Effective leadership and communication skills;

• Sound strategic planning skills and demonstrated fi nancial management skills;

• Knowledge of current funding and reporting principles for primary and community based services;

• Proven ability to implement change and manage human resource dynamics; and

• A strong focus on continuous quality improvement.
