Do you have a passion for emergency nursing? Barwon Health is the largest regional health service in Victoria, providing care for approximately 44,000 emergency presentations per year. Under Barwon Health’s new emergency model of care patients are streamed to dedicated assessment areas including fast track, adult, paediatric, resuscitation, trauma and mental health areas. Our mission is to improve access and patient flow to provide a sustainable service that ensures high quality, safe, people-focused care.

An opportunity to complete postgraduate study in emergency nursing in affiliation with The University of Melbourne exists. The successful applicants will have emergency nursing experience, excellent communication skills, a motivation to continued professional development, and be flexible to work all shifts on a monthly self-roster.

Successful applicants will commence the 12 month clinical and theoretical components (at a salary equivalent to 0.8 EFT) in February 2010 at Barwon Health Emergency Department, while studying concurrently with The University of Melbourne.
