-Full Time – 6 month Secondment position
-Fitzroy campus
This varied and interesting position is being offered to a hardworking, motivated and innovative Health Information Manager. The successful applicant will join a supportive team of 14 HIM’s/clinical coder.
The responsibilities will include:
•VEMD reporting
•Coding
•Participation in coding audits
•Monthly audit meetings with clinical units
•Participation in and collation of benchmarking activities
As one of Australia’s outstanding tertiary teaching hospitals, St Vincent’s Hospital utilises up to date technology and offers varied casemix complexity including neurosurgery, plastics, orthopaedics, cardiac, respiratory, oncology and ICU.
Essential Criteria:
•Qualifications in Health Information Management
•Excellent interpersonal skills
Desirable Criteria:
•A minimum of 12 months as a Health Information Manager
•Knowledge of the casemix funding model
•Previous experience with VAED/VEMD reporting
