Program Leader – Activity Programs
- Become a leader in the provision of activities programs for our Community Access Programs
- Part Time position – 4 days per week (21 hours over 4 days)
- Make a real difference in the lives of our clients
Merri Community Health Services offers this exciting opportunity to oversee and participate in the day to day operations of the Community Access Programs. This role will be responsible for leading and developing activities in group settings at various Merri sites and within our outreach programs and will incorporate the provision of client personal care, support and monitoring.
The successful applicant will possess:
- Certificate III or IV in Community Services (Home and Community Care) or Certificate III Lifestyle and Recreation
- First Aid level 2
- Demonstrated experience working in the aged care, disability and mental health area
- Demonstrated experience in group facilitation
- Demonstrated experience in developing and evaluating programs or activities
However, it would also be desirable if you possess:
- A relevant second language
- Previous experience working with;
- clients in supported accommodation and/or rooming houses
- clients with complex needs including behavioural issues
- Knowledge of and experience of working in groups, residential care or nursing homes programs
