Eastern Health is a leading provider of health care within Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. Box Hill Hospital’s Emergency Department incorporates a 28 cubicle emergency area, an 8 bed short stay observation unit and fast track. The ED team work together with nurse practitioners, ED care coordinators, ED physiotherapists, nurse educators, ED pharmacist and volunteers to improve emergency services and patient flow for over 40,000 presentations per annum.
An outstanding leadership opportunity exists for a motivated and enthusiastic Nurse leader to assume the role of Nurse Unit Manager, Emergency Department, Box Hill Hospital. Pivotal to the success of this position is an active contribution to the:
•implementation of the new emergency IT system (February 2010)
•subsequent workflows redesign and
•service planning for the new Box Hill Hospital.
The successful applicant will present with substantial clinical experience, demonstrated success in a leadership role and appropriate post graduate qualifications in nursing.
