In-Home Disability Support Workers
Seeking Highly Experienced Workers
Regular ongoing shifts
Minimum 3 hour shift payment
We currently have a number of URGENT vacancies to fill supporting people with disabilities in their own homes. To meet the criteria for these positions, you MUST have extensive experience in the DISABILITY SECTOR supporting people with Intellectual and/or Physical disability and:

have or be willing to obtain a CURRENT Victorian Police Clearance AND Working With Children Check

have CURRENT 1st Aid Level II training
-
have Manual Handling training
-
have your own vehicle and current Victorian Drivers licence
Vacancies:
- SUNBURY. 9 hours per month on WEEKENDS supporting a young lady who is non verbal, blind, has epilepsy, needs full assistance with personal care. She enjoys listening to TV and music and swimming - ideally she would like a female carer who is keen on swimming and can support her with this activity!
- KILSYTH. URGENT - our client, a young man in his early 20's requires a highly experienced carer who is FLUENT IN AUSLAN and has the ability to demonstrate initiative and willingness to try new things! You must have your own car and be comfortable transporting him. He is ambulant and is involved in different clubs on the weekends and enjoys set activities. Shifts available include mornings personal care, afternoon recreation (Mon-Fri) and most Saturday's.
- OLINDA. Do you have EXPERIENCE IN SUPPORTING PEOPLE WITH QUADRAPLEGIA? This could interest you! This young man requires partial assistance with showering ????? ?????. He also requires personal care and has a catheter. He uses a slide board to transfer and his medication is self-managed. BOWEL CARE experience is ESSENTIAL. Shifts are Monday, Wednesday & Friday - 7am-11am.
- DOREEN. Seeking specialist staff to work 1:1 with a male client who is in his teens, has an ABI, epilepsy and uses a wheelchair some of the time - no hoisting required. Some prompting with daily activites required. Occasional behaviours of concern. Full training provided by Royal Children's Hospital. He enjoys going to the movies, football, basketball, bike riding, fishing and cooking. He would prefer a male carer. Shifts are: Mon to Fri, 1.30pm-7.30pm and 7am-9.30am. There will be occasional weekend work. Options to job share are available.
- BLACK ROCK. Are you a RN Div 1 or 2? Our client, a mature lady who lives with her husband is seeking support 7 days per week with personal support, domestic duties and assistance with meals. She has advanced Motor Neurone Disease, is fully dependent, extremely high needs and requires full hoist assistance (ceiling hoist). Shifts are: 7 days per week, 7.30am-11.30am, 12.30pm-3.30pm and 6.30pm-10.30pm. Options to job share are available.
- GREENVALE. Very experienced carer required for 51 year old male who has Motor Neurone Disease and is currently on Non Invasive Ventilation in order to assist with his respiratory problems. Shifts are: 5 afternoons per week, 1pm-5pm.
