Mental Health Intensive Youth Outreach Service Clinician

An exciting and challenging opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Senior Clinician to provide a Mental Health Intensive Youth Service in Southern Health CAMHS and Berry Street Victoria.

This important senior role within Berry Street Victoria and CAMHS includes:

•the provision of superior clinical skill in client engagement, mental health assessment, therapy, crisis intervention and risk management in keeping with the values and standard held by CAMHS;
•the delivery of an excellent adolescent mental health service to the Berry Street Victoria staff and clients, in the contextual language of the clients and design interventions that are applicable to their environment;
•as part of the Berry Street team provide clinical leadership in the development and provision of mental health service delivery to high-risk statutory clients;
•provide better health outcomes for this vulnerable and high-risk group of young people by promoting good working relationships and a greater understanding between these two quite different service systems;
•perform the duties of a senior member of the CAMHS team by undertaking responsibilities for key portfolios such as providing education to CAMHS clinicians on the specialist expertise of the role, provide clinical supervision, participate in evaluation, research and quality activities.
