This forward thinking organisation has recently rebranded and is looking well into the future of health care. A main part of their role in health is to inform other health care providers on local health solutions through General Practice programs, as well as working with other health providers in the area.
They have an opening for a program development officer in the area of "clinical best practice program" The main focus is to improve the health and well being of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait population in the West through, the development, implementation and management of a range of healthcare program initiatives.
This roles specific initiative include:
• Implementation of a systematic approach to undertake health checks for patients of Aboriginal and or/Torres Strait islander origin.
• Encourage and increase the number of GPs/General Practices utilizing an electronic register.
• Development of recourse to assist GPs/General Practices in preventative medical strategies.
• Plan deliver and evaluate GP professional development opportunities.
• Coordinate continuing professional development activities across program areas
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and training providers.
To be successful you will have project management experience in the health care sector. In return they are offering ????? ????? including salary packaging and onsite parking. Own transport and a Victorian license is essential for this position.
