Surveillance Officer > Heavy Civils
We are looking for a civil engineer who has a track record of monitoring/surveillance/verification for major industrial buildings and heavy civil engineering ????? ?????. Experience of tunnels and pipelines would be ideal too.
As Surveillance officer you are principally responsible for signing off hold points, assessing non conformances and providing a technical input to engineers on site.
This role requires someone from a civil engineering ????? ?????. A broad knowledge of all aspects of heavy civil construction is necessary; Structures both underground and overground, concrete and steel frame buildings, tunnels and pipelines.
Contractor, consultancy or client side background will suit. The key is a persons ability to understand how things work for all parties involved in heavy civil engineering ????? ?????.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination and management of specific site surveillance work reporting to the Site Surveillance Manager and Proof Engineer on site activities;
- Receive and review reports, requests for information, site instructions, non-conformance reports, test results and reports and any other documentation generated during ????? ????? the course of the project;
- Assist the Site Surveillance Manager in the development of the Proof Engineer’s monthly report and other reports as required;
- Manage the inspection and witnessing of construction works in progress across the site; Manage the maintenance of a daily site record and report and document any analysis, findings, observations or comments resulting from the above activities;
- Forward data and reports for design verification to technical specialists where detailed checking is required;
- Ensure that all Site staff follow OHS&R procedures and environmental management procedures on site;
- Assist the Quality Management Systems Manager in the development and implementation of quality plans for the project.
- Implement the Proof Engineer Management Plan and the Site Surveillance Management Procedures including the administration of non-conformances;
- Be involved in the overall management of the Proof Engineer Project particularly in terms of site issues.
