    The Fibrinolysis and Gene Regulation laboratory located at the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases (www.acbd.org) at AMREP (Alfred Medical Research and Education Precinct) focuses on the molecular and cellular biology of the plasminogen activating enzyme system using both in vitro and in vivo model systems and has received funding from NHMRC, NHF and local government.

    We are seeking a Research Assistant to work within a team of about 10 scientists to undertake routine tasks, including genotyping cryostat sectioning and section processing for immunohistochemistry and real time PCR. This position also entails laboratory management skills including ongoing maintenance of the laboratory, scheduling of rosters, ordering ????? ?????, and maintaining and monitoring ????? ????? of laboratory expenses. The position reports to the Head of the Fibrinolysis and Gene Regulation laboratory. The senior research assistant will be expected to have a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Biochemistry, or neuroscience or a related discipline and has had at least 5 years of laboratory experience.

    The Benefits
    Remuneration package: $54,363 - $73,779 pa Level A (includes employer superannuation of 9%)

    This role is a full-time position, however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
