Through the Council of Australian Governments (COAG), all states and territories and the Commonwealth Government, have agreed to work together within the Smarter Schools National Partnerships (NP). The aim of this initiative is to improve the quality of Australian schooling and student outcomes.

National Partnerships will focus on: Literacy and Numeracy, Low Socio Economic Status and Teacher Quality.

The Association of Independent Schools Victoria (AISV) will adopt a whole school improvement approach for member schools that are involved in the NPs. They will be supported by a 4 cluster structure across 45 schools. Each cluster will be led by a Principal Advisor, and Senior Advisors will work with schools to achieve Literacy and Numeracy, Student Wellbeing and Community Partnership outcomes.

The opportunity now exists for dedicated and experienced educators to join the team of senior practitioners at AISV to adopt and implement the whole school improvement approach across the sector.
