The Opportunity Two prestigious scholarships are available to support a postgraduate research in medicinal chemistry at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The first research project focuses on the synthesis and pharmacological evaluation of novel bivalent dopamine D2 and adenosine A2A ligands for the therapy of Parkinson's disease. This project is being conducted in collaboration with the Centre for Cognitive and Neurodegenerative Disorders (GSK Singapore). The second research project will involve the development of new methodology for the synthesis of bioactive alkaloids as potential therapeutics for the treatment of cancer and is being conducted in collaboration with GSK Australia.
