The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual for this exciting opportunity within the Agriculture Development Services Portfolio of Farm Services Victoria (FSV). This key position is responsible for providing leadership in the delivery of targeted response services to the drought affected dairy industry of northern Victoria.
Some of the key challenges of this position are: the development and implementation of three main projects in drought response; ensuring drought response services are endorsed/owned by key stakeholders; the development and coordination of the strategic proficiency of project staff; the development of strategic communications; and project reporting and evaluation.
If you have the ability to effectively lead and manage people and complex projects, along with a thorough understanding of rural issues impacting on irrigated dairy industries in northern Victoria, you are strongly encouraged to apply.
Location is negotiable within northern Victoria (pending the availability of office space).
The successful applicant must hold an appropriate degree in agricultural science, evaluation, social science, or other relevant qualification in a related discipline, or extensive experience in a related field.
