    • Looking to work across the department and its regulatory agencies to reduce regulatory burdens, ensuring ????? ????? development incorporates best practice regulatory principles, and identify opportunities for improvement and change in regulatory practices.

    We are seeking a suitably experienced Policy Officer to join the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and assist in the development of best practice regulatory approaches This will include implementation of the government’s Reducing the Regulatory Burden initiative, DPI’s best practice regulatory framework, and a review of regulators’ governance arrangements. You will monitor, report and coordinate the implementation of the DPI administrative and regulatory burden reduction activities and initiate action to ensure successful implementation.
    Your work will be required to assist in the analysis of data and issues and in the preparation of reports and recommendations relating to Regulatory Reform Team performance and program updates, and in the communication of Regulatory Reform Team messages across the department and statutory authorities.

    You will initiate and manage contract and contractors to undertake examination of various regulatory reform reviews and policy examinations and establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external to the department, to successfully progress regulatory reform projects.
