Design & Build are currently inviting applications from Building Inspectors who are interested in working for a metropolitan council, located in north Victoria on a part-time basis. This council is renowned for its open spaces, plentiful parklands and gardens and now has an immediate opening for a Building Inspector on a temporary basis.
Reporting directly into the Municipal Building Surveyor, the successful candidate will assist in the management of a range of building projects, predominately within the residential field ensuring building regulations and codes of practice are adhered to.
As the Building Inspector you will be provided with office support to ensure reports are compiled and produced on your behalf, allowing the successful candidate the time to be spent travelling from site to site.
Duties will include:
- Assessing and evaluating the construction techniques and materials being used on site
- Reviewing and assessing plans ensuring building compliance
- Liaising with a range of external stakeholders
Requirements include:
- Registration as a Building Inspector Unlimited or Limited with the Building Practitioners Board
- Victorian drivers license
