The position… works within the City of Melbourne’s Building Team to deliver specialist services in Building Certification and Inspection.  The role provides an opportunity to work on a broad range of projects from high rise residential and commercial developments through to single dwellings.  There is also scope to assess complex protection works matters, respond to proposed legislative changes and help deliver report and consent functions.

You will have…

  • Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent) in Building Surveying / Inspections
  • Knowledge in building legislative procedures and experience in assessing applications
  • High standard of customer service skills
  • Building inspection experience
  • Proven interpersonal, networking and negotiation skills
  • Registration as a Building Practitioner and experience in checking city type buildings is desirable.
