Representing the largest expenditure on capital works infrastructure in RMIT’s 121 year history, these building works span over 30 major works projects and will dramatically improve our suite of learning, teaching and research spaces so that our students and staff can enjoy world-class, state-of-the-art facilities that are engaging, sustainable and safe.

Situated within the Resources Portfolio, Property Services has in excess of 110 staff and has the responsibility to operate, maintain and enhance the buildings owned and leased by RMIT University, oversee construction projects and ensure the provision of physical facilities services. RMIT’s property portfolio is valued at over $1billion and includes approximately 110 buildings spread across all of RMIT’s campuses and sites.

Responsible for the formulation, delivery and management of the annual works program you will provide leadership and specialist advice to the annual works team.

Managing a program of multiple, complex capital works projects up to $1 million, your scope will include in-fills, upgrades, fit-outs and new builds. Your capability will be strong in project resource allocation, contractor administration and contract management. Operating in a collaborative and collegial way, you have a keen eye for detail and understand a systems based environment.

You may come from a project management, construction or design background and be looking for an opportunity to be part of a growing, dynamic and fast paced team? A relevant degree qualification will be advantageous to your application in addition to your extensive experience.
