Representing the largest expenditure on capital works infrastructure in RMIT’s 121 year history, these building works span over 30 major works projects and will dramatically improve our suite of learning, teaching and research spaces so that our students and staff can enjoy world-class, state-of-the-art facilities that are engaging, sustainable and safe.
Situated within the Resources Portfolio, Property Services has in excess of 110 staff and has the responsibility to operate, maintain and enhance the buildings owned and leased by RMIT University, oversee construction projects and ensure the provision of physical facilities services. RMIT’s property portfolio is valued at over $1billion and includes approximately 110 buildings spread across all of RMIT’s campuses and sites.
Reporting through to the Deputy Director, Projects branch, the Program Manager/s are responsible for developing and implementing contract delivery strategies and leading a programme of capital works which involve the management of multiple project teams.
Employed on a fixed, 5 year contract, you will have a strong focus to ensure all projects meet design, finance, performance, quality, safety and environmental objectives. Capable of leveraging positive outcomes from external contractors and consultants, you will proactively problem solve within our complex and multi-layered environment, maintaining solid stakeholder involvement.
Successful Program Managers will require demonstrated experience across multiple concurrent projects in end to end delivery, possessing strong commercial acumen. With exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills, our Program Manager/s will liaise, influence and negotiate internal and external teams effectively and proactively. A relevant degree qualification will be advantageous to your application in addition to your extensive experience.
