Located in Melbourne's inner east this innovative and progressive council is currently seeking a senior/principal statutory planner for an initial 3 month contract. Situated amongst shopping precincts, restaurants, bars and cafes you will work in a dynamic and lively environment.

Your key responsibilities in this contract will include assessing and processing permit applications, preparing ????? ?????, assessing amendments to planning permits, conducting site assessments, and providing advice and customer service to applicants and developers.

To be suitable for this position you will be a competent senior statutory planner with the ability to hit the ground running with your own workload. Degree qualified in Town Planning you will have several years experience working in statutory planning under your belt. You will possess strong negotiation and communication skills, and have a solid understanding of related policies, acts and legislation. It is essential that you will be a team player and fit in comfortably with a vibrant and interactive team.
