A permanent band 6 strategic planning position is currently available within a fast growing regional municipality. Located an hour from the snow and sea, this vibrant town has a great deal to offer a planner looking for that work/life balance. With a team of 6, they have supportive management and offer excellent training and a clear career path that will assist in developing you professionally as a planner.

You will be provided with a diverse workload that will expose you to a wide variety of strategic planning projects relating to rural, urban, land and natural resources. Specifically your workload will include the rezoning of residential land, activity centre plans, heritage overlays, development contributions, transit cities, urban design frameworks, and flood plan amendments.

To be considered for this position you will be suitably qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline, have superior verbal and written communication skills, and have the ability to work autonomously as well as within a team. Previous experience working as a strategic planner will be highly regarded however this is not essential as vibrant and intelligent graduates will be considered.
