About the Opportunity Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO) has a fantastic opportunity for a
Health Information Management Team Leader to join their Public Health and Research Unit in Collingwood.
The Public Health and Research Unit assists Aboriginal community controlled services to
prioritise public health approaches within their primary health care service delivery and to strengthen service level responses to public health issues, such as chronic disease, communicable disease and environmental health.
Reporting to the Manager, Public Health and Research Unit, the successful applicant will
provide direction and leadership for the Health Information Management team. You will provide specialist health information support to VACCHO and assist in the development of a state-wide health information management plan for Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations. You will also be involved in managing specific project initiatives that help organisations to enhance their IT and communication performance and capacity.
The ideal applicant will have a demonstrated understanding and commitment to Aboriginal health and Aboriginal culture, preferably with qualifications and experience in this context. It will also be highly advantageous to possess relevant qualifications and experience in Information Management, IT or Epidemiology.
You will be rewarded for your hard work and dedication with a
highly attractive remuneration package circa $65,000 (negotiable based on experience and qualifications), PLUS a
