Growing professional services company is in need of an experienced Accountant with a broad skill set to run its back end functions.
To be suitable for this role you will be able to present information at board level, but also be happy to roll up your sleeves in the day to day accounting operations of the business (i.e. payroll & invoicing). Experience in MYOB is essential.
The successful candidate will have a extensive payroll experience. You will be up to date with Workcover policies, have submitted monthly payroll tax returns, monthly PAYG instalments and quarterly BAS statements. An understanding of corporate compliance requirements and exposure to Trust structures and their compliance would be an advantage. Strong Excel skills are required to form meaningful weekly management reports on the performance of the business. As a sales based business within the IT industry, you will be confident in using exported data from MYOB to complete complex commission reports in Excel with 100% accuracy (VLOOK up tables etc).
In this role you will be working closely with the Managing Director and be confident in taking over the day to day responsibilities of the finance function. Initially the role will be very hands on, however with the planned expansion over the next 18 months the position will grow as your responsibilities will also include the management of additional junior resources within the business.
