This company is a subsidiary of a highly successful European owned global business. Established in the 1950s, the company now operates in over 35 countries and offers innovative and quality products to private and commercial markets. Due to continued rapid growth a new role has been created for a suitably skilled and qualified individual to join the business as Company Accountant.

Reporting to the Australian Managing Director and to the Eurpoean head office finance team, this role will be responsible for the preparation of financial and management reporting requirements for local and international management. In detail the role will entail:

• Treasury management and cashflow reporting
• Managing foreign exchange transactions and payments
• Bank account management and regular reconcilliations
• Preparation of financial accounts and regular reporting
• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards
• Hands on with AP and AR
• Payroll management
• Coordination of year end closing and preparation of audited financial statements
• Any other adhoc duties as required

As the successful applicant you will have proven experience in a similar hands on role gained in a small company environment. You must be able to work proactively and autonomously as this will be the sole finance representative for the Australian business. A sound understanding od accounting principles and standards will be essential while exposure to overseas reporting will be advantageous. Knowledge of Sybiz will be beneficial.
