Budgeting & Planning Analyst
The Finance Team at Myer is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Budgeting & Planning team. We are looking for a dynamic, energetic and highly organised analytical individual to become an integral team member.
Located in Lonsdale Street, Melbourne reporting to the Budgeting & Planning Manager your primary focus will be to provide effective and efficient budgeting systems and processes for stakeholders to ensure that the budget is executed effectively and efficiently within the relevant timeframes.
Major Accountabilities will include:
· Co-ordinate and assist in managing the budgeting process for all Merchandise KPI’s, including Sales to Gross Profit, and stock levels
· Communicate information requirements and critical deadlines to key stakeholders, ensuring ????? ????? communication is timely, relevant, clear and ultimately “adds value” to the decision-making process.
· Provide advice & ongoing support to key stakeholders during ????? ????? process.
· Co-ordinate with system owners for the loading of all Budget related systems.
· Guide and assist the in preparation and ongoing management of the budget timetable, which meets all key internal and external deadlines.
· Manage the budgeting & forecasting processes for specific client groups, including Human resources and Legal Services.
· Provide ad hoc support to the Finance team, including assisting in the management of the financial measures for the Company Incentive Programme
To ensure your success you will need:
· Tertiary Accounting qualifications (CA/CPA qualified, or working toward)
· 5+ years experience in an accounting related role – retail environment is preferable
· Strong numeracy, analytical and problem solving skills
· Ability to interpret financial reports and information
· Strong process management, technical and system skills (TM1 experience would be beneficial)
The ideal person will have experience working within a retail accounting environment and will have a solid understanding of budgeting and planning process.
With an ability to thrive in an environment that is often demanding, you will be a confident and motivated individual with excellent communication and intrapersonal skills. You will lead by example and be comfortable dealing with people both internally and externally.
