Manager, Financial Services

  • The Centre for Adult Education (CAE), based in Melbourne’s vibrant CBD, is known for the provision of an extensive and exciting range of short courses and high quality accredited learning options. These courses assist learners to gain skills and qualifications for work or further education. CAE also administers the world class Occupational English Test.

    The Financial Services department supports the delivery of CAE services through the provision of advice, analysis, control and processing of financial data, payroll and procurement activities.

    In this leadership position, you will manage the Financial Services team to ensure that operational and financial targets are met through the delivery of a professional and efficient service to achieve the outcomes of the annual operational plan.

    You will develop and maintain the department’s operational budget and prepare and monitor annual and long range financial plans, submissions and budgets. You will monitor and maintain compliance with accounting standards, manage budgeting, general ledger, management accounting, financial reporting, purchasing, payroll processing, asset register and prepare for and comply with audit requirements.

    Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will hold tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or Commerce, CPA designation and have demonstrated experience in a senior financial management role.

    Permission to conduct a Police Check and Working with Children check is required.
