Our client an industry leader in the food industry with a serious commitment to product development is looking for Sensory Technologist to join their established and successful team on a permanent part time basis. Reporting to the Research & Development Manager you will be responsible for an exciting new stage in the development of their R&D department, putting in place the frame work and procedures to drive the new Sensory Analysis focus being put in place. You will educate the project teams in determining the appropriate sensory methodologies, co-ordinating tests, analysing results and providing recommendations. It is expected that the successful applicant will have the following skills / attributes:

• Demonstrated experience in a sensory role within the food Industry.
• Have excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
• A team orientated mindset and ability to work in cross functional teams.
• Prepare reports for internal customers providing recommendations from the research findings.
• Co-ordinate sensory evaluation panels using best practice principles.
• Provide sensory training for R&D team members based on best practice methods.

 It is expected that the leading applicants will have a minimum of 2 years within a specialist sensory position and be an expert in the development and implementation of strategies that are industry best practice.
