Our client is a diverse multi-disciplinary consultancy, with global expertise in the areas of Quality, Health & Safety, Environment and Social Responsibility to a range of clients. Due to significant company growth both in Australian and internationally and involvement in industry leading projects there is a need for a Project Environmental Consultant to join their Melbourne team.
As a Project Environmental Consultant you will be joining their established and successful environmental team, where you will provide support to the Senior Environmental Consultant and also assist with the mentoring ????? ????? and the development and monitoring ????? ????? systems and processes within the Environmental group. Your role will be varied and challenging and include but not be limited to;
Conducting environmental assessments in line with statutory regulations and standards
Manage contaminated site remediation
Perform groundwater investigation & assessments
Provide accurate interpretation of assessment results and subsequent recommendations
Maintain an up to date knowledge base of Codes of Practice, Regulations, Legislative Acts and current Standards
Preparation of cost proposals and tender submissions
Co-ordination of process and labour resources to efficiently manage work including sub-contractors.
Facilitate the ongoing development/management of internal procedures and reporting and the subsequent training to the rest of the team
Mentoring ????? ????? junior staff
You will be Tertiary qualified in Environmental Science/Engineering, Geology, Hyrdogeology or similar. Post Graduate qualifications would be highly desirable along with experience working in an environmental consulting environment with particular emphasis on contaminated land and groundwater. You will be experienced in groundwater modeling, and have remediation experience across large scale projects. Hydrogeological exposure would be advantageous along with knowledge of risk assessment packages.
You must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, be a hands on person who is capable of working autonomously and able to effectively work and thrive within a team environment. You must have effective relationship building skills and be comfortable in a mentoring ????? ?????.
