My client is a well known national IT services organisation with top vendor partnerships.  They require a suitably qualified Business Developer / Hunter with a strong technical background, to be located in their Melbourne office. 

The Role

• Hunter for new business opportunities
• Maximising & increasing revenue from existing client base
• Responding to tenders, writing proposals etc
• Presenting to prospective clients
• Sales planning / forecasting
• Liaisons with technical team to ensure quality service delivery
• Relationship building with major vendor partners

The Requirements

To be successful in this role you should possess:

• Minimum of 3 years working in IT sales in the hardware channel / reseller environment
• Proven track record of achieving & exceeding sales targets, KPIs
• Experience in selling IT infrastructure solutions from the major vendors such as HP, Sun, IBM.
• Experience in selling high end hardware & storage as well as low end
• Broad understanding of IT solutions such as storage, virtualisation, network, security
• Strong business acumen
• Clear communicator & excellent relationship building skills
• Confidence and a 'can do' attitude 
• Ability to liaise with customers at all levels & presentation skills
