Our client are a leading manufacturer of workstations and associated seating products. Well established and highly regarded interstate they are now seeking to employ an energetic business developer with the drive and enthusiasm to break the Melbourne market for them and in due course build a sales team and grow the state.
In this hands on business development role your first task will be to leverage off your existing network of architects and designers and promote and specify the companies range of high end furniture solutions. The companies range of furniture suits corporate, healthcare, education, hospitality and aged care environments and as such you will have a broad area to target project wise. The products are manufactured locally and you will have the added advantage of short lead times to assist you in reaching your sales targets and budgets. Initially you will work autonomously from your home office set up, however the short term plan is to develop a need in the Melbourne market place and then get a showroom up and running and build your own sales force. Reporting directly into the MD in Sydney you will have the autonomy and support that you require to make this a success.

Must have
- Commercial furniture sales experience
- Network of contacts with architects with designers, end users, project managers, facility managers, builders and developers.
- Proven sales background in commercial fit outs - Min 3 years.
- Strong business development skills and passion for sales.
Desirable
- Want to move into a sales management role.
- High level of energy, drive, self motivation and need to have a challenging position.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your client base effectively.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
On offer for the successful applicant will be a negotiable base salary starting at $60-75K + FM Vehicle / Car Allow + Super + Home office setup + lucrative bonus component linked in to performance and sales. Of course as the market grows in Melbourne so will your salary and OTE.
