This Western suburbs based organisation markets a varied portfolio of leading brands and now requires a driven, motivated and professional Maintenance Manager to drive the maintenance function within their continuous manufacturing operation.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this key position is responsible for management of an experienced maintenance team and site facilities, actively promoting a workplace culture based around preventative maintenance, teamwork and a safety oriented approach. Primary responsibilities will also include maximising effectiveness of plant equipment and support the planning and installation/commissioning process of new plant and equipment. Your ability to proactively maximise plant availability and interacting with people at all levels across the organisation will be key to your success.
Minimum qualifications will be a degree in engineering but of more relevance will be maintenance management experience in a continuous food or pharmaceutical or related high volume manufacturing environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills coupled with experience at Union negotiations will be highly regarded.
