Our client is a large multinational group with operations in more than eight countries.
The Role
Providing efficient and accurate taxation advisory and assurance advice to relevant internal customers, the role reports to the Senior Tax Manager. You will have responsibility for providing tax advice and training internally, tax advice on business transactions, reviewing tax accounting and cash/book tax forecasts, and managing tax compliance with the relevant authorities.
Furthermore:
- Review tax provisions and deferred tax reconciliations;
- Manage assurance and tax compliance requirements as per legislative and policy requirements;
- Provision of tax planning and tax structuring ????? ????? shall assist in strategic financial decision-making in Australia and across the Group;
- Identification of process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- A natural "relationship builder" with a range of diverse stakeholders;
- CPA / CA qualified. Tax Lawyers may be considered, but will need to demonstrate a knowledge of taxation accounting and an understanding of corporate tax compliance, which is up to 40% of the role;
- Masters of Tax would be an advantage;
- Experience of: CGT, capital allowances, cross border payments and transactions, and outbound and inbound international taxation issues.
- Financial Services (ie Banking or Insurance) experience or Commodities exposure would be an advantage.
