An excellent opportunity has arisen for a junior or mid-level insurance lawyer to join a dynamic and growing firm.
Our client is a boutique national firm which specialises in insurance, commercial risk litigation and advice. It has a growing team of highly skilled and talented lawyers and has a great reputation in the market.
The firm is looking for a driven individual to work closely with a highly experienced and reputable partner to advise and act on issues relating to general liability and professional indemnity. The partner has a strong commercial focus and a wealth of technical legal knowledge.
The firm acts for well known blue-chip clients including major Australian insurers and self-insurers, brokers, reinsurers and other corporate clients. You will also work with UK based underwriters and insured firms.
You will have a proven track record in the areas of claims and insurance advisory work, including:
- professional indemnity;
- directors and officers liability;
- professional misconduct;
- public and product liability;
- property claims; and
- general insurance and risk management advice.
The ideal candidate must have at least 2+ years defendant experience in insurance law, preferably in the area of professional indemnity, gained from a notable insurance practice. More senior lawyers are also invited to apply.
You will have solid technical skills and be professional, commercial and responsive. The firm is focused on its lawyers having hands-on client interaction and you must have excellent interpersonal skills. For junior lawyers, you will have the opportunity to learn from the best.
