Job Snapshot: 
 
Due to expansion in the Products team a new role has become available for a Senior Business Analyst. The purpose of this role is to apply functional business analytics skills to gather requirements and design the process for new product developments as well as existing solutions.
 
Key Accountabilities:

• Obtain agreement on the scope of project requirements and the process impacts, including change management, and provide cost, resource and time estimates where required.
• Analyse business needs and requirements based on consultation with key stakeholders. Document requirements (including use cases) in accordance with standard Telstra processes, e.g. in a Requirements Definition Document.
• Consult with relevant project stakeholders to ensure linkage between business requirements and the solution as delivered (e.g. through the creation and maintenance of a requirements traceability matrix).
• Develop new or enhance existing business process solutions to deliver products, services and systems to meet business needs in a timely and cost effective manner.  
• Manage the expectations of key stakeholders by balancing conflicting requirements and negotiating agreement on requirements.
• Identify risks and issues in requirements definition and in deploying process solutions and develop or recommend solutions to mitigate these risks and issues.

Essential Attributes: 

• Proven experience in a Process or Business Analyst Role in a Technology field (preferably Telcos)
• High level product knowledge of Unified Communications & VOIP solutions such as Cisco Unified Call ????? ?????, IP Centrex  or Video Solutions as well as   conferencing & collaboration products
• Highly skilled in documentation (requirements gathering & process design documentation)
• Ability to analyse, understand, explain and solve complex problems

Highly Desired Capabilities

• Understanding of requirements management tools (e.g. RequisitePro, DOORS).
• Business, Engineering ????? ????? Technology Degree
• Industry certification such as CCNX, Project Management etc
• Experience in multi vendor environments
• Strong Negotiation and presentation skills
• Understanding of Project Management processes and principles
