My client, a tier 1 consultancy and market leader in the Media communications space are looking to add a highly motivated and talented individual with knowledge and expertise in Content Delivery Networks. You will have the opportunity to work on high profile projects with some of Australia's most well known Media communications, Broadcasters and Media content companies.
Based in either Sydney or Melbourne you will be responsible for translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications, defining the Technical architecture and oversee end-to-end architecture of Content Delivery Networks (CDN) to meet the rich media delivery needs of leading Australian companies. You will need to provide solutions that provide un-matched quality of service and flawless video images whether delivered through live streaming, on-demand streaming or video download. This may involve replacing current CDN's, building up capability and developing future technology roadmaps. This is an exciting position that will see you working on a number of media & content platforms with some of the most innovative and technologically advanced projects in Australia.
In order to be successful in this role you will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of CDN's including Web caches, server load-balancing (Layer 4-7/Content Switch) and web servers. You will be up to date and knowledgeable of the latest vendor technologies including Alcatel Lucent (Velocix) and Cisco Content Delivery Systems. You will have a strong background in IP Routing & Configuration and have a commercial awareness of major CDN's like Akamai and Limelight.
