T Infrastructure Domain Architect: Security

    We are keen to acquire the talents of an experienced Domain Architect to provide leadership for the development of strategy and architecture for aspects of the IT Security Architecture domain across Telstra.
     
    Key Accountabilities:
    • Develop aspects of the strategy and architecture for the IT Security Domain comprising Identity Management, Threat Management, Data Protection, Privacy Management and document through whitepapers and blueprints;
    • Communicate the recommended strategies to technical and management stakeholders and gain endorsement;
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the relevant domain sections of the Standard Operating Environment;
    • Enhance and promote the Security Architecture methodologies including Risk Assessment, Requirements Definition and Security Solutioning
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the relevant domain sections of the Standard Operating Environment;
    • Lead virtual teams of architects and domain technical specialists to:
      • Run assessments and evaluations;
      • Develop strategy positions (whitepapers);
      • Investigate systemic issues and problems;
      • Enhance methodologies and processes
    • Collaborate with business programmes and the application, data and security architects to develop the logical technology architecture for new or major enhancements to business systems:
      • Participate in project estimation
      • Select or confirm technologies and products for security of servers and storage platforms, databases, application servers, integration interfaces;
      • Drive exceptions to the security SOE, where necessary;
      • Confirm interfaces to enterprise security management services;
    Key Requirements:
    • Appropriate security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISSAP, ISSMP)
    • In depth knowledge of one or more security architecture domains:
      • Threat Management
      • Identity
      • Data Protection
      • Privacy
    • Working knowledge of security architecture and governance models e.g. COSO, ISO 27001 and 27002, COBIT, SABSA, ITIL;
    • Well developed verbal and written communication skills;
    • Technology security architecture solution design for complex application projects and complex IT infrastructure projects;
    • Proven experience in leading a diverse groups of IT Subject Matter Experts across Plan, Build, Run groups to successfully convey their requirements and concerns into strategy positions;
    • Understanding of security management disciplines gained in a large, complex environment;
    • Working knowledge of the existence, scope and limitations of relevant standards including:
      • ISO/IEC 17799:2005).
      • ISO/IEC 27001:2005
      • RFC 2196
      • OECD Guidelines
    • Working knowledge of Application architecture frameworks and their use
    • Working knowledge of IP networks
