We are keen to obtain the talents and experience of a Senior Vendor / Contract Management Specialist to manage large supply contracts to ensure the contracted supplier delivers as promised under the contract. This position will be required to manage commercial relationships with vendors who have complex sourcing arrangements and agreements in place with Telstra. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the relevant commercial terms that underpin the arrangements and agreements in place.
Moreover, the Senior Vendor Management Specialist will work to reduce and/or contain total cost whilst improving the overall quality of the services outsourced; managing all commercial and contractual aspects of change control and managing the effectiveness of the vendors accordingly to ensure that performance criteria and targets are achieved.
Key Accountabilities:
- Leading the vendor / contract management process
- Participating in the preparation and implementation of relevant vendor agreements
- Ongoing management of complex commercial relationships with vendors
- Reviewing and analysing supplier performance, ensuring effectiveness of suppliers to ensure contract KPIs are achieved
- Ensuring maximum value realised from suppliers on a consistent basis
- Interpreting customers requirements and articulating them to potential suppliers in a way that ensures appropriate risk allocation and competitive pricing
- Assessing and resolving unanticipated claims and variations for approval
- Ensuring consistent application of Telstra standard operating systems, policies and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance the existing strong customer focus
- Provide feedback to the Team Manager on cross functional project team performance
- Manage key external stakeholders relevant to the achievement of business objectives
Essential Attributes:
- Demonstrated experience in Contract and Vendor Management
- Sound understanding of commercial terms and conditions
- Proven ability to make presentations to all levels of the organisation, including senior management
- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
- Ability to manage customer expectations
- Fluent, confident manner and solid experience in delivering engaging presentations to stakeholders
