IT Change Manager Operations

    Telstra are seeking to secure the services of a Change / Operations Production Manager to head a team of IT Change Professionals who oversee the IT Change Management process and compliance. The successful applicant will provide IT leadership as it relates to landing / deploying major IT Programs into the production environment while driving effective scheduling and coordination of planned changes and releases into the production environment.
     
    Specific Accountabilities:

    • Provides management oversight to IT Operations  for complex production scheduling activities (eg. Backouts, data fixes, emergency fixes)
    • Oversees scheduling and governance of Major Planned change activity
    • Maintain and manage a calendar of all major production events (Business & IT) based on info received from the various groups
    • Provides status of production events, planned software releases, business verification activities, emergency fixes, planned outages, etc
    • Principle point of contact for all queries in relation to Major Planned change activity potentially impacting the production environment.
    • Maintain policies and processes relating to IT Change Management 
    • Define, implement and monitor process measurements and targets
    • Enforce the execution of the process across the organisation
    • Identify and address areas for improvement
    • Establish cross functional skill set across team
     Specific Capabilities:
    • Extensive experience in all aspects of  Production Scheduling and IT Change management.
    • Extensive experience in all aspects of IT Service Level Management and end to end service delivery
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with and influence technical staff / business people and senior management.
    • Demonstrated Track record of negotiating with decision makers
    • Strong communications and persuasive skills.
    • Ability to clearly and concisely express information, ideas and or concepts  (verbally and  in writing) and be able to present information effectively to a wide range of audience using a variety of communication means
    • Capacity to deliver results, drive issues to closure, set high standards of performance and pursue challenging goals.
    • Ability to negotiate with providers & vendors and understand and manage within a contractual relationship
    • Experience with iTAM 7 Service Management System (Remedy)
