An opportunity now exists to join a large 'Aussie' owned orgnisation on a permanent basis. Currently they have an requirement for a Senior Storage Administrator to provide technical administration and support of their shared storage infrastructure.
The position will involve a mixture of both project and BAU work; beginning with the effective management of current infrastructure, which will contain a large operational component, and then focus more on the design aspect of the overall architecture of the environment, aligning more with project work. Some key functionalities of the role will include Infrastructure Management and Data Replication.
To be considered for this role you will contain the following skills and attributes:
- Extensive experience in System Administration
- Relative years experience working in one or more SAN, Storage or NAS technologies.
- Experience with Brocade SAN FC switches and routers or equivalent
- Experience with StorageTek D series, B series and FlexLine products or equivalent
- Experience with Sun StorageTek
- Experience with Network Applicance devices or equivalent
- Experience with SAN connectivity and setup for Windows Platforms
- Experience with SAN connectivity and setup for UNIX, UNIX-like and other Mid-range Platforms
- Experience with Backup and Tape technologies (ie Netbackup, SnapVault)
- Understanding of RAID technologies
- Understanding of Data Replication technologies
- Excellent communcation skills
- Team Player
