A vacancy exists for an experienced Claims Manager to manage a portfolio of Workers compensation claims. Responsible for the ownership of each claim from initial receipt through to return to work, you will work to achieve optimal outcomes for the employer and the injured employee. You will be required to deliver pro-active, best-practice claims management strategies that are designed to facilitate: - Improved outcomes for employees
- Compliance with state legislation in Victoria and Tasmania
- Return to work for injured employees as soon as practicable
- Open communication and understanding by business units of their claims liabilities, risks and strategies to reduce their claims risk
- Effective management of costs
- Claims resolution
To be considered successful for this role you will be able to demonstrate experience in the following: - Advanced technical knowledge of Workers Compensation in Victoria & Tasmania including claims management process and practices, policies and procedures
- Ability to negotiate, conciliate and influence at all levels, within, across and external to the organization
- Ability to liaise with third party services providers, internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure staff entitlements and statutory benefits are paid in accordance with the requirements of the Workers Compensation Legislation
- Strong planning and organisational capabilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent decision making skills
- Strong service ethic
