The business has grown significantly and is continuing to evolve to meet the changing needs of its customers.

This role is a Senior Credit role in the Underwriting and Policy team. The role principally is to underwrite personal loan applications submitted by the Branch network, broker and Direct channels.

This role will see you managing a team of 2 staff as direct reports but will also be influencing branch staff nationally. You should have proven leadership skills and the ability to lead from the front with sound credit decisions.

Essential Responsibilities ·
Underwriting of personal loan applications
Must be able to independently assess any loan referrals without bias or influence from other parties
Provide decisions on applications within reasonable service standard
Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with sales managers/leaders
Review and provide recommended policy and process changes as required

Qualifications/Requirements ·
Experience in underwriting of consumer credit loans
Have a solid understanding of prime and sub prime lending market
Have an ability to coach direct reports
Strong Decision making skills and analytical skills
Negotiation skills to make an alternate solutions where necessary
Efficient time management and organisational skills
