Our client a global company with a head office function in Melbourne is a leader in consumer electronics within the DIY sector. Due to a re-structure they are now seeking the superior skills of a ‘Global Marketing Director' reporting directly to the CEO you will be an experienced expert in all aspects of design; including packaging, POS and web strategy.
Managing a team of eight staff all within marketing functions you will accountable and ultimately responsible for planning, strategy, research, insights, communications, PR, collateral and all ad hoc projects to do with the company's products and how they succeed in the market.

You will work closely with sales and product development to ensure the right marketing plans, budgets and outcomes are achieved for new and existing products. You will be given the autonomy to make ‘marketing' changes including; look, feel, design, colors etc all to tie back with packaging, web site and POS and ultimately increase market share and brand awareness.
You will strive under pressure and meeting deadlines will be second nature to you. You will be responsible for a full marketing strategy, plan and budget, you will be held accountable to that plan and budget once it is signed off.
Ideally you will have the following experience:
5 + years in a senior marketing management role
Managing processes from overseas, predominately China and North America
Driving a team and delivering ????? ?????
Design ability particularly within packaging and website
Proven expertise in working with retailers
Accomplished with strategy, communications and budgets
You will lead the team by example; you will be hands on and also responsible for the succession planning and of your team's personal development.
