Our client is a leading Melbourne based Environmental Consultancy with particular expertise in environmental site characterisation and remediation, risk assessment and management.  Due to rapid growth and continuous involvement in a number of major projects there is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Environmental Scientist or Engineer with demonstrated Contaminated Land Management and Project Management experience to join their team.

 

The successful candidate will Project Manage a variety of contaminated sites projects, direct field projects and provide technical assistance to junior staff. Your role will involve preparation of tenders and proposals, report writing, technical mentoring and training of junior staff.

You will have a tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science and at least 7-8 yrs industry experience, ideally within a consultancy environment. A successful history of management is preferable, and successful candidates must have experience within the following areas

  • Contaminated site assessments and remediation in a range of industry sectors including  property/land development
  • Assessing and extenuating land use impacts to groundwater
  • Conducting hydro geologic investigations for a variety of projects ranging from water supply to environmental impact assessment
