They have defied the odds and have enjoyed a increasing project workload in 2009 and it is now about to bubble over.
As a result, they are in immediate need of an experienced Structural Engineer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.
You will work closely with one of the company's principals and take charge of a portfolio of commercial building projects. Specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Design and analysis of concrete and steel frame buildings
- Conducting site inspections and overseeing construction
- Liaising with architects, contractors and other project stakeholders
- Coordinating junior engineers and drafters
- Ensuring ????? ????? completed to specified timeframes and budgets
As this is a senior role, you will be given relative autonomy to manage your project workload. Suitable applicants will have:
- A recognised Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- Circa 6+ years experience working as a structural engineer in a consulting environment
- Previous experience working on high-rise commercial building projects
- A familiarity with the design and analysis of concrete and steel members
- A comprehensive knowledge of Australian Standards and Building Codes
- Experience working on projects from conception to completion
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- A familiarity with SpaceGASS and/or RAPT
- The motivation to take on additional responsibility and develop their career
While not essential, being a Chartered Engineer and/or Registered Building Practitioner would be highly regarded.
