Our client is a family owned business, operating for more than 30 years as specialists in paint coating and exterior trim development. Having worked with major clients in the automotive and trucking industries, they employ an innovative and flexible approach in the provision of A-class exterior trim components and assemblies.
To further enhance their capability in servicing at an OE level in the automotive industry, they are seeking to employ a Project Engineer, who will report ultimately to the director of the company and will be responsible for the design and release of technically demanding body systems.
Other core responsibilities include;
Leadership and coordination of projects and teams to meet program targets.
Provision of technical knowledge, expertise and leadership.
Using CAD systems and managing milestone deliverables.
Lead and coordinate benchmarking for future programs.
The ideal applicant should hold a Bachelors Degree in Materials, Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering; have good experience in the automotive industry working for OEMs or alike, understand structural response of vehicle loads (crash, NVH, durability), knowledge of CAE methods and high level CAD understanding and experience working with sheetmetal and composites.
They should also be able to operate with minimal supervision, identify issues and initiate solutions, have strong business acumen and be able to mentor other engineers.
