Reliability Engineer

  • Our client is a diverse multi-disciplinary consultancy, with global expertise in the areas of Quality, Health & Safety, Environment and Social Responsibility to range of clients. Due to significant company growth in Australian and internationally and involvement in industry leading projects there is an immediate need for an experienced Reliability Engineer to join their Melbourne team.

    The primary responsibility of this role, as a Reliability Engineer, is to improve the reliability of equipment, piping and rotating equipment. The position will work closely with engineers, reliability specialists, maintenance supervisors, and maintenance technicians to implement the reliability appropriate programs to decrease production losses and lower maintenance costs. 
     
    Your responsibilities will include;

    • Maintaining expertise in the field of Reliability excellence
    • Establish reliability programs and techniques for rotating equipment  
    • Provide technical direction in resolving mechanical problems. Perform root cause failure analysis on rotating equipment failures,
    • Evaluate, measure, and analyse rotating equipment reliability using industry best practices, techniques, and standards.
    • Provide rotating equipment engineering ????? ????? support for projects, planning, and maintenance. Provide advice to plant engineers, supervisors, and specialist for technical solutions. 

    Requirements;

    • Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering ????? ????? least 5 years relevant experience in the Reliability field including RCM and RBI expertise
    • The position requires a detailed knowledge of the techniques and tools for rotating equipment reliability
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal  
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
    • You must be willing to travel on a regular basis
