National Maintenance Manager - Rollingstock

Kinetic Recruitment is a leading supplier of engineering ????? ????? to the Rail Sector.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the scheduling maintenance, practice and programs at depots (Rollingstock, plant, equipment and terminal infrastructure) and ensure they are available to satisfy strategic needs.
• Manage maintenance contracts and maintain agreed contractual service obligations within agreed expenditure budgets.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategy and business plan.
• Develop and monitor appropriate KPIs to ensure effectiveness of maintenance activity. These will include as a minimum measurement of reliability and availability of both wagons and locomotives.
• Coordinate subordinate staff to optimise the use of human and material resources to achieve maximum performance.
• Maintain necessary contact with major suppliers, customers, industry associations and government representatives to achieve the business objectives of terminal performance.
• Ensure that all business activities and employees within the position's area of control comply with all legislative/statutory obligations, company policies, codes, standards, procedures and specific company instructions or guidelines published related, but limited to: Safety Management System; Railway Safety Management; Equal opportunity

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical/Electrical or relevant discipline.
• Proven experience in similar Senior Management position in a Rail Transport Environment.
• Experience in the establishment and delivery of maintenance services, preferably in the rail industry.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience in locomotive and wagons would be a major advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in financial management including the development and management of maintenance budgets.
